DMND Refresh ProjectIntro4 FINAL
Getting Your Content Found
Now that you have learned how to create great content and how to publish and advertise that content via social channels, we will turn our attention to optimizing how that content can be found by way of Search.
In this project, we will perform an on-site and off-site SEO Audit and conduct three site performance tests to improve the DMND or your company’s website visibility in the search engine.
If you are choosing to do the DMND marketing challenge for this project, we have set up a dedicated website for the Digital Marketing Nanodegree (DMND) Program. You will audit and recommend changes to help improve its discoverability on search engines.
If you are doing your company’s marketing challenge, you will need to have a company website. You will audit and see what you can change to improve your site’s discoverability on search engines.
This project consists of four parts.
- In part one of the SEO audit, you will evaluate Keywords and recommend blog topics related to the Keywords with the most potential. Additionally, you will do a competitive analysis.
- In part two, you will perform an off-site SEO audit where you will audit the backlinks to the site, and make recommendations for a link-building campaign.
- In part three, you will conduct site performance tests to identify areas of opportunity for the site.
- Finally, in part four, you will make final recommendations to improve SEO for the site.
Let's walk through some of the tools you will need to complete the SEO Audit. But first, let's make sure you are set up with your Moz account.
Access Moz's Pro Tools
Signing up with Moz:
This project will require using Moz's Keyword Explorer and Onsite Explorer tools. Please request access to the tool by filling out the form below.
You should receive an email with Moz access within one week of your request being submitted. You will have this access to the Moz Pro tools for 30 days.
The link for access expires after two days of being sent. If the link for access isn't open in time (before the two-day expiration), rather than requesting access via Typeform again, students can head to the Moz login screen and click "Forgot password?" to be emailed a brand new link.
